The web platform is basically free and allows all Nigerians to contribute across all spheres as well as providing interesting information about our beloved country.
There are unique chat rooms for all tiers and spheres of Nigerian life.
Users can set up their home page based on their origin, residence and federal is common to all.
The discussions follow a weekly cycle, starting on Monday and ending with a conclusion on Sunday.
The discussions start on Monday at 0:00hrs, with a default topic and count down timer-the default topic can be changed by the first user, otherwise it can be changed in the course of the week by agreement of a simple majority of the participants on the discussion. Both topics are concluded by end of the week.
A maximum of two topics can be discussed per week.
The conclusion of topics involves voting, either midweek and/or at the end of the week, with a choice among five colour coded alternatives reflecting the sentiment of the discussion for that week.
The colour corresponding to the majority vote is set as the background for the following week.
The Equilibra is open and free for all Nigerians to engage constructively and positively.
Interested, relevant office holders have a unique access and opportunity to comment/provide clarity on possible misconceptions based on the topics under discussion.
Office holders can also provide information on actions being taken to improve areas identified in discussions.
Users and duty holders can gauge how well our institutions are performing, based on feedbacks provided by users of the institutions’ services.
There is also a “Vent the steam” chat room where users can vent their concerns on issues they feel are not covered in any of the rooms.
It is hoped that users will be civil and use the platform responsibly, apply reasonable courtesy in their comments and images sent in.
Users who misuse the platform can be reported via option button provided in each room and sanctions would be applied by admin.
Users can also send feedbacks for the developers to improve the system.
